Service Description

In this workshop we’ll explore using traditional glass painting techniques in a multi-piece design. Together we’ll tackle creating depth and complexity using hands and facial features, drapery, patterns, and other features that make traditional stained glass beautiful and exciting. To benefit from this workshop you should have some basic experience handling vitreous paints and a bit of drawing or painting knowledge. In four full-day sessions we will cover the core elements of traditional glass painting in a hands-on, easy to understand way. We will produce a piece using traditional methods and explore ways to incorporate it into your own work. For this class you are required to bring your cut glass, the following paints (tracing black, bister brown, umber brown, and silver stain) and your own brushes. A material list will be provided. Request a booking and we will contact you with details prior to payment.
